Terms of service
Last updated: 2026-08-14
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern access to and use of ContextBoard (the "Service"), provided by ContextBoard ("ContextBoard", "we", "us"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms on behalf of yourself and, if applicable, the organization you represent ("Customer", "you").
1. The Service
ContextBoard provides document parsing, information extraction, human review, context assembly, and search functionality, accessible through a web application, a REST API, and a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server. We may add, change, or remove features from time to time.
2. Accounts and workspaces
You must provide accurate information when creating an account. You are responsible for activity that occurs under your account and for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and API keys. Organizations and workspaces created within the Service are logically isolated from other customers; you are responsible for managing membership and role assignments within your own organization.
3. Customer content
"Customer Content" means the documents, files, and data you or your users upload to the Service, and the extraction schemas, context packs, and other configurations you create. You retain all rights to Customer Content. You grant us a limited license to host, process, and transmit Customer Content solely to provide the Service to you. We do not use Customer Content to train models without your explicit, separate consent.
4. Acceptable use
You agree to use the Service in accordance with our Acceptable Use Policy. We may suspend or terminate access for use that violates these Terms, the Acceptable Use Policy, or applicable law.
5. API and rate limits
Programmatic access via the REST API or MCP server is subject to per-key rate limits described in our API documentation. We may adjust rate limits to protect the stability of the Service.
6. Fees and payment
Fees, if applicable to your plan, are described in an order form or on the pricing page and are due as specified there. Fees are non-refundable except as required by law or as otherwise agreed in writing.
7. Termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your organization at any time. We may suspend or terminate the Service for material breach of these Terms that is not cured within a reasonable period after notice. Upon termination, we will make Customer Content available for export for a reasonable period before deletion, except where legally prohibited.
8. Disclaimers
The Service, including any extracted or generated content, is provided "as is." Extraction results are produced with the assistance of machine learning models and may contain errors; you are responsible for reviewing extracted values, particularly before relying on them for decisions with legal, financial, medical, or regulatory consequences.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, neither party will be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits or data, arising out of these Terms or the Service.
10. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will provide reasonable notice, such as by email or an in-product notice, before the changes take effect.
11. Contact
Questions about these Terms can be sent through contact sales.
